Applegarth
This is Applegarth. It's in Cockermouth, just off the main street. It's a Georgian town house, so it's tall and the rooms are decent sized. It was renovated a few years ago.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs: two doubles and one twin. There's one family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The stairs are normal house stairs.
Downstairs, there's an L-shaped living and dining room. It leads out to the garden through French doors. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs. There's a patio and an apple tree. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
There's a wood burner in the living room and a Smart TV. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Everything works.
You're about a hundred yards from Main Street. There are shops, cafes, and a few pubs right there. Jennings Brewery is in the town. William Wordsworth's birthplace is a few minutes' walk away.
You're on the edge of the Lake District. Bassenthwaite Lake is about ten minutes by car. The Lakes Distillery and the Wildlife Park are near there. Keswick is about a twenty minute drive. For walking, Whinlatter Forest and Buttermere are close by. The coast at Maryport or Allonby is about half an hour away.
Dogs are allowed. The garden is enclosed. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
