Jose's At The Grange
Jose's At The Grange is in Mosser, near Loweswater in Cumbria. It's a first-floor apartment, part of an old stone cottage that's been done up.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one shower room. It's a 3 Star place. That means it's comfortable and clean, but not luxurious. The views from the windows are really good, over the fields towards Loweswater. You get use of the garden and there's parking.
The place is open plan. There's a sofa bed in the living area if you need it. Facilities wise, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
It's right next to the owner's B&B, but you've got your own front door. You're a short walk from Loweswater lake itself. It's a quiet spot, good for walks. You can see red squirrels here.
The nearest pub is about two miles away in Loweswater village. It does good food. The shop is further, about five miles, so you'll want to bring supplies.
For bigger shops and more pubs, Cockermouth is about seven miles east. It's a nice town, has the Wordsworth house and the Jennings brewery.
You're well placed for the western lakes. Buttermere and Crummock Water are very close. Grasmoor and the other fells are right there if you want to climb them. For a family day, Whinlatter Forest is about eight miles away for walking and cycling. Keswick is about twelve miles.
