Jose's At The Grange

Jose's At The Grange is in Mosser, near Loweswater. It's a first-floor apartment in a converted stone cottage. The views from the windows look out over the fields.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and modern but not luxurious. The owners live nearby and run a B&B from the same building.

The apartment is open plan. There's a double sofa bed in the living area if you need it, but it's really best for just the two of you. The kitchen and shower room were new a few years ago.

You've got your own parking spot with an electric vehicle charger. There's also a shared garden.

Loweswater lake is a short walk away. It's quiet. From there you can walk on to Crummock Water and Buttermere. The fells around here, like Melbreak and Grasmoor, are good for walking. You're right in the western bit of the Lakes.

The pub in Loweswater, which is about two miles away, does decent food. For a shop, you'll need to drive five miles or so.

Cockermouth is twenty minutes by car. It's a nice town with independent shops and pubs. Workington is about the same distance if you need anything bigger.

If you want to go further, Whinlatter Forest is about fifteen minutes for walking and cycling. Keswick is maybe half an hour. The coast at St Bees is about forty minutes.

Facilities: everything's included. Wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs.

If you're planning walks, the Lake District National Park site is useful. For local history, Wordsworth House in Cockermouth is worth a look.
