This is Blake Fell Lodge. It's a timber lodge just outside Crossgates, in the Western Lakes. You're basically on the edge of the Lake District National Park, looking out over fields.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern inside, wooden floors, open plan living area with a wood burner. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.
The main thing is the outside space. There's a private hot tub and a sauna. There's a proper enclosed garden, an outdoor fireplace, and a barbecue. It's all yours to use.
The location is quiet. The nearest pub is about a mile and three quarters away. The shop is a bit further. The nearest lake is Loweswater, which is about five miles. That connects to Crummock Water and Buttermere. Ennerdale is about six miles away, it's one of the quieter valleys.
You're well placed for the coast too. Whitehaven is seven or eight miles. St Bees Head is about ten miles if you want a coastal walk. Cockermouth is eight miles for shops and pubs.
The lodge is all on one level so it's suitable for wheelchairs at the entrance and moving around inside. We can provide a cot and a highchair. There's parking right there. No pets, sorry.
