Scalelands Cottage
Scalelands Cottage is in Parkside. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. The main thing is the view out the back. It looks straight over fields to the fells of the Ennerdale Valley. It's quiet.
It sleeps four in two double bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and has what you need. The garden at the back is enclosed and private. It gets the sun in the evening.
You're on the edge of the Lake District National Park here. It's a hamlet. The nearest villages are about a mile each way. They have shops and takeaways. There's a bar and restaurant about a quarter of a mile up the main road.
The nearest lake is Ennerdale Water, about five miles. It's a proper quiet one, not like the busy ones. You might see red squirrels there. For a day at the coast, St Bees Head is about six miles. Good for a walk on the cliffs.
For facilities: there's parking right outside, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
