Farm Cottage
This is Farm Cottage. It's on our dairy farm in Bigrigg. It's detached, so it's just you out there. You get the garden and patio to yourselves. The view is over our fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one is a double, the other has two single beds, though one is a bit wider than standard. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The stairs are fine.
It's a working farm, so you'll see cows. You might hear them in the morning. There's no traffic, so it's quiet. I live on site if you need anything.
Inside, there's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a utility room with a washing machine. All bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
The village is about half a mile for a walk. There's a shop and a pub there. For a proper beach, St Bees is about three miles away. It's sandy and it's where the Coast to Coast walk starts. Egremont is a couple of miles for more shops and a few places to eat.
You're right between the coast and the lakes. Ennerdale Water is about seven miles. Buttermere and Borrowdale are within a half hour drive. For walking, you've got the Lake District National Park on your doorstep. Scafell Pike is about a forty minute drive if you're up for that.
Facilities are all listed. No pets, sorry. The WiFi works, but it's a farm, so it's not super fast.
