Ludlow Bank

Ludlow Bank is a bungalow in Coulderton. It's detached. You're right by the sea, maybe 20 yards from the water. The garden is enclosed and there's a hot tub out there.

It sleeps seven. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. Everything is on one level so it's step-free, which is good if you have mobility issues. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's warm and comfortable.

You can walk straight onto the beach. It's stony, not sand, but good for a wander. The view out to sea is good, especially at sunset.

For a pint or a meal, the nearest pub is about two miles away in St Bees. The nearest shop is in Egremont, three miles. It's a proper market town with butchers and bakers and that.

You're on the edge of the Lake District. Ennerdale Water is a 15-minute drive inland. Whitehaven is about 20 minutes north. The Rum Story museum is there if that's your thing. For the bigger lakes, Buttermere is maybe 40 minutes, and Windermere or Keswick are about an hour's drive.

The Ravenglass and Eskdale miniature railway is nearby. It's a proper old steam train that goes up into the valley. Good if you've got kids, or if you just like trains.

Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included. We take two dogs.
