The Milking Parlour
The Milking Parlour is a cottage on our farm in St Bees. It used to be the milking parlour, hence the name. It's all on the ground floor, so there are no stairs at all. That's good if you find them difficult.
It's just for two people. One bedroom with a king size bed, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher.
You're welcome to bring up to two dogs. There's a garden area that's yours to use. The farm is still working, so you'll hear and see the usual farm things.
The village is right here. The closest pub is about fifty yards away, just across a quiet road. A shop is a couple of minutes' walk. The beach is about three quarters of a mile down the lane. It's a good beach, very wide when the tide's out.
For walking, you can pick up the Coast to Coast path from the beach. It starts here. The Lake District National Park is about a twenty-five minute drive away. Whitehaven is ten minutes by car if you need bigger shops.
What's here: towels and bedding are included, there's a washing machine, a TV, and wifi. There's parking right outside the door. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
