The Dairy
The Dairy is a cottage behind my house on the farm. It used to be the farm's actual dairy. It's all on one level, which is good if you don't want stairs. The front door leads straight from the road, but it's a quiet lane.
It sleeps three people. There's one proper double bedroom. The third bed is a single sofa bed in the living area. It's all open plan, so whoever's on that bed is in the main space. The bathroom is a good shower room with a heated towel rail.
The kitchen's new and has a dishwasher. There's a smart TV. The patio outside gets the sun in the afternoon. You can park right next to it.
You can bring two dogs. The garden is secure, so they can't get onto the road.
The pub is about fifty yards away, across the road. They do food. The shop is a two minute walk. St Bees beach is about fifteen minutes on foot, or a very short drive. It's a good beach, with sand and cliffs. The start of the Coast to Coast Walk is here.
Within half an hour you can drive to Whitehaven, or up to Ennerdale Water. The Lake District National Park starts not far inland. The western fells, like Wasdale with Scafell Pike, are about forty minutes by car.
For facilities, it has what's listed: wifi, washing machine, TV, bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. It's rated 4 Star.
