Eliza's Cottage is in Keekle. It's a terrace house in a row of three. The main thing is it's quiet here. You've got fields at the back.
It sleeps seven people. There are three bedrooms. Two are doubles. The third has a bunk bed, a double on the bottom and a single on top. So it's good for a family. There's one bathroom with a bath and a shower over it.
The stairs are standard for a cottage like this. Not dangerous, but mind your head on the way up.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean, comfortable, and has what you need. The kitchen is well set up with a big cooker, dishwasher, and a washer-dryer. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
You can bring two dogs. Out the back, there's shared access lane, but you can sit on the grass area if you want. It's not a private garden, just so you know.
The nearest shops and a couple of pubs are about a mile away in Cleator Moor. Whitehaven is three miles. It's a proper town with supermarkets and a nice harbour for a walk. The Lake District National Park boundary is very close.
You're in a good spot for the Western Lakes. Ennerdale Water is about five miles. It's one of the quieter lakes. You might see red squirrels there. St. Bees Head and the coast are also about five miles. Good for a beach day or a cliff walk.
If you drive inland, you can get to Loweswater, Crummock Water, and Buttermere in about half an hour. The drive over Honister Pass to Keswick is spectacular. For serious walking, Wasdale and the Scafell Pike route are within a 30-minute drive.
The property has WiFi, TV, all the bedding and towels are included, and parking is on site.
