The Byres Tan

The Byres Tan is a ground floor apartment in St Bees. It's one of four in a barn on a working farm. Right on your doorstep really.

It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One king size room, one single room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well finished and comfortable. Being all on one level is handy.

The place has underfloor heating, which is great. The living area is open plan, with the kitchen and dining space together. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site.

You can bring up to two dogs. The beach is about three quarters of a mile away for walks. St Bees Head is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

You're right in the village. There's a shop 160 yards away, a pub 50 yards, and a restaurant about 100 yards. The train station is about 200 yards, which is useful. The Coast to Coast walk starts here.

For a day out, the Lake District is close. Ennerdale Water is about a 15 minute drive. It's one of the quieter lakes. If you want to tackle Scafell Pike, Wasdale Head is under half an hour away by car. The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway is about a 25 minute drive.
