West Fells Cottage

West Fells Cottage is in Rowrah, on the western edge of the Lake District. It's a detached house.

It sleeps six, maybe eight at a push. There are four bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms. One's an en-suite off the main bedroom. The stairs aren't steep.

The place is modern and spacious. Downstairs has a living room and a kitchen with a utility room off it. The conservatory is big, with doors out to the garden. It's where you'd eat.

The main thing here is the extras. There's a cinema room downstairs with four big massage chairs. The conservatory has a door to a steam room. Outside there's a hot tub, an outhouse with a pool table and darts, and a small timber hut with a firepit. It's a lot.

The garden is lawned and enclosed. You can bring pets, up to three. There's parking.

Rowrah itself is quiet. There's a pub about a three-minute walk away. The nearest shop is just over a mile. The local attraction is Rowrah Karting, which is a serious go-kart track if that's your thing.

You're very close to the Lake District National Park boundary. Ennerdale Water is about four miles away. It's one of the quieter lakes. Loweswater and Crummock Water are within a fifteen-minute drive. The walking from the door is good.

For the coast, St Bees Head is about a twenty-five minute drive. Whitehaven is fifteen minutes. Cockermouth, a proper market town, is twenty minutes away. The Western Lakes and the coast are easy from here.
