The Corn Mill is in Branthwaite. It's part of our house, the old mill building. We've done it up, but you can still see the beams and the stonework. Some of the old machinery is still there too.
It looks out over the River Marron. You can hear the water.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The stairs are the original mill stairs. They're steep and a bit narrow, so you need to take care.
There's a pub about 500 yards down the lane. The nearest shop is two miles away in Dean.
You're on the edge of the Lake District here. Loweswater is four miles up the road. Crummock Water is about six miles. Cockermouth is four miles away as well. That's where you'll find the shops and places to eat.
Keswick is a twenty minute drive. From there you can get into the central fells.
For facilities: there's a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and parking. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
