This is Market Place in Workington. It's a town centre address, just off the main bit. So you've got shops, pubs, and places to eat right on the doorstep.
It sleeps four but there's only one proper bedroom. That's on the second floor with the bathroom, which has a shower over the bath. The living room is on the first floor and the sofa makes into a double bed. The kitchen is on the ground floor. It's a tall, thin house over three floors, so there are a lot of stairs.
It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and everything works, but don't expect anything fancy. It's good value.
Now, the location means it can be noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. Music from the bars nearby. If you're after a quiet night in at the weekend, this isn't it. Sunday to Thursday is much quieter. If you want to go out for a drink, you're already there.
For getting out, you've got the coast about twenty minutes drive. Allonby or St Bees for a beach. Whitehaven harbour is about the same. Cockermouth is a nice town for food and shops, also twenty minutes.
You're about half an hour from Keswick and the northern Lake District. The drive via Loweswater, Crummock Water, and Buttermere is very good if you like that sort of thing.
Facilities are all included, like bedding, towels, WiFi, and the electricity. There's a TV. No pets.
