Lucy's At The Grange

This is Lucy's At The Grange. It's a detached bungalow near Mosser, between Cockermouth and the fells.

It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are ensuite. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on one level, which is good if stairs are a problem. There's parking and an electric vehicle charger.

The building was fully renovated a few years ago. It's well done. The kitchen is modern, and there's a wood burner in the main living space. The garden is enclosed, with patio doors leading out. You can hire a hot tub from a local company if you want one, but it's an extra charge and you need to sort that out separately.

The place is about 600 yards from Loweswater, which is one of the smaller lakes. It's quiet. You can walk from the door. There are lower fells like Mellbreak close by, or more challenging walks a bit further on, like Grasmoor.

The local pub is about two miles away, The Kirkstile Inn. They do good food. The nearest shop is over five miles, so you'll want to come with supplies. Cockermouth is seven miles for supermarkets and more pubs. It's Wordsworth's birthplace and has the Jennings brewery if you're interested.

Within half an hour you've got Whinlatter Forest for walking or mountain biking, Keswick, and the coast at St Bees. The National Trust looks after a lot of the local land, and the Lake District National Park site has walking routes.

Facilities: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, cot and highchair. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring up to two dogs.

This place can be booked alongside the other two bungalows here if you need more space for a bigger group.
