Bumble Cottage
Bumble Cottage is in Cockermouth. It's a single-storey place, so no stairs at all. It's tucked back in a little courtyard, so it's quiet. The patio garden gets the sun most of the day.
It's rated Five Star, which means it's been done up to a high standard. Everything is new and clean. It sleeps three, with a proper double bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living area. It's all open-plan, so the kitchen, dining, and sitting area are in one room. There's a big walk-in shower.
You can walk into the town centre in a few minutes. There's a supermarket about five minutes away on foot. A couple of good pubs are about the same distance.
Cockermouth itself is a proper market town. It's got a mix of independent shops and some bigger names. It's on the edge of the Lake District, so you're well placed. Bassenthwaite Lake is about a five-mile drive away. Keswick is about fourteen miles, so maybe twenty minutes in the car.
For things to do, the Lake District National Park site is useful. The National Trust looks after a lot of places nearby too, like Wordsworth House in Cockermouth itself. Their main site is here.
In terms of what's here: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. Sorry, no pets.
