Bumble Cottage is in Cockermouth. It's a single-storey place, which means no stairs at all. It's in a little courtyard shared with a couple of other cottages, but you've got your own patio garden with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
It's rated 5 Star. That means it's been done up to a high standard. Everything is new and it's very clean. The layout is all open-plan: kitchen, living area, and dining space are all one room. There are Velux windows in the roof so it's bright.
It sleeps four, but it's one bedroom with a double bed. The fourth person would be on the double sofa bed in the main living area. That's fine for kids. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Its main selling point is the location. You can walk into Cockermouth town centre in about two minutes. There's a supermarket five minutes away, and a few pubs close by that do food. The town has a mix of independent shops and the usual high street names. Kirkgate Arts is a good spot for films or a play.
You're right on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Bassenthwaite Lake is about a ten minute drive. Keswick is roughly twenty minutes by car. For a good drive, go over Whinlatter Pass or down to Buttermere.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and parking for one car right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
