Little Meadow
Little Meadow is a barn conversion on a working dairy farm just outside Dovenby. It's quiet. You're looking out over fields.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There’s a king size upstairs with its own shower room, and a twin room next to the family bathroom. The stairs are internal, not too steep.
It’s modern inside. Big windows, oak beams, open plan kitchen and dining area. There’s a separate living room with a sofa. The patio doors open onto your own bit of garden with a hot tub and a table.
You’re about a mile and a half from the nearest shop and pub. Cockermouth is three miles away for proper shops, cafes, and restaurants. Maryport and the coast are about five miles the other way.
The Lake District National Park starts not far from here. It’s about a fifteen minute drive to get into the fells for a walk. Keswick is twenty minutes by car, with Derwentwater and all the usual stuff there. Bassenthwaite Lake and the wildlife park are also close.
For facilities, it's got what you need: parking, wifi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and towels are included. The rating is 5 Star, so it’s well-equipped and comfortable. No pets, sorry.
