The Coach House
The Coach House is in Arkleby, which is on the edge of the Lake District National Park. It's a semi-detached cottage, attached to Grooms Cottage. You have your own part of the garden for sitting out.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well kept. They've put the open plan living area upstairs to make the most of the views over the Solway Firth. You get good sunsets there.
The stairs are fine, they're just normal stairs. There's a woodburning stove for the cooler evenings. You've got a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site.
You can bring one dog. The garden is shared but large and enclosed, mainly lawn and trees, so it's secure.
Aspatria village is about two miles away for basic shops. Cockermouth is eight miles. It's a nice town with places to eat and some independent shops. The coast and the fells are about a 15 minute drive in either direction.
