Seascape Cottage
Seascape Cottage is in Allonby. It's a terrace house, but you've got the whole place. It looks out over the sea and you can see the Lake District fells from the upstairs windows.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and modern. The renovation is recent, with a lot of glass and a south-facing front, so it's bright. The stairs are standard for this sort of house.
You're right in the village. There's a good pub that does food about 175 yards away. The beach is even closer, maybe a two minute walk. It's a long sandy beach, good for a stroll.
You're between Maryport and Silloth on the Solway coast. It's quiet. The whole area is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
If you want to go into the Lake District proper, Keswick is about a 40-minute drive. Bassenthwaite Lake is the nearest, about half an hour away. You've got the Lakes Distillery there if that's your thing. The Lake District Wildlife Park is there too.
At the cottage there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
For wider planning, the Lake District National Park site is useful.
