Cosy Cottage is in Allonby, on the Cumbrian coast. It's a terraced house about 200 years old. You look straight out over the Solway Firth. That's the main thing about it.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The bathroom is en-suite, so it's all on the same floor. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not a show home. It's an old cottage, so the ceilings are low in places if you're tall.
The beach is about five minutes' walk. It's a big, flat beach, sand and shingle. Good for a long walk with the dog. You can see Scotland on a clear day.
In the village there's a shop for basics and a couple of pubs that do food. One is very close. There's a fish and chip shop too. The ice cream from the shop is good.
You're right on the edge of the Lake District. It takes about an hour to drive to somewhere like Keswick or the north end of Windermere. Closer by, if you like golf, there's a course at Silloth, about ten minutes away. For a day out, Souter Lighthouse is about half an hour north, just over the border. The Lake District National Park site is useful for planning walks.
Facilities: there's parking right outside. TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are all included. You can bring one dog. No garden, but the beach is there.
