Harbour Watch

Harbour Watch is an apartment in Maryport, on the harbour. It's part of a development, so there are other flats around, but you get your own place. The main thing is the view. You look right out over the harbour and the sea.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. Everything's on the same level, so no stairs inside. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. You've got a washing machine, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.

The living area and kitchen are open plan. There's a flame-effect fire for when it gets a bit chilly. The kitchen has what you need for self-catering. Outside, there are communal grounds with some seating.

You're right on the harbour wall. You can watch the boats from the window. The town centre is about a five-minute walk. There are shops, pubs, and cafes there. There's a beach about 500 yards away for a walk. Just across the road is the Wave Centre, which has a climbing wall and a gym.

For a day out, the Senhouse Roman Museum is less than a mile away. The Solway Coast is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty a few miles north, with good beaches. Whitehaven is south, about a twenty-minute drive. It's got a busy harbour and more shops.

You're well placed for the Lake District. It's about a half-hour drive to places like Bassenthwaite, where the Lakes Distillery and Wildlife Park are, or Loweswater. For planning trips, the Lake District National Park site is useful.
