The Farmhouse At Lane Foot
The Farmhouse at Lane Foot is in Dovenby, Cumbria. It's a semi-detached house on a working farm. The renovation was finished in 2022 so everything is fresh and works properly.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms upstairs, two doubles and a twin, and one family bathroom. The stairs are a standard steepness. You get views over the village and the fields from up there.
Downstairs, the kitchen is big and has a table to eat at. The living room is a good size. There's a utility room with the washing machine, and a study with a desk if you need it.
The village is quiet. There's a river you can walk along. The local pub is about ten minutes on foot. They do food.
You're well placed for getting about. Cockermouth is three miles away for shops and cafes. The Lakes are on your doorstep. Bassenthwaite Lake is about fifteen minutes drive east. For a really good walk, head south to Buttermere and Crummock Water, which is maybe twenty minutes. Keswick is about twenty-five minutes along the A66.
The coast is closer than you might think. Allonby has a long beach and is about twenty minutes west. St Bees, which is the start of the coast to coast walk, is half an hour.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on the farm. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
