Catbank is a lodge chalet in Redmain. It's just off the A595 between Cockermouth and Carlisle. You're in a quiet spot with eight other chalets, looking out towards Skiddaw.
It's a compact bungalow, open plan inside, so the living area, kitchen and dining space are all one room. It sleeps two people. There are two bedrooms but they're both small doubles, so it's really just for a couple. One bathroom with a shower.
The place has a 3 Star rating. It's clean and everything works. It's got a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a pub about a mile away for a drink. The nearest shop and places to eat are about six miles away in Cockermouth.
Location wise, you're right on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Cockermouth is five miles, Keswick is twelve miles, and Carlisle is eighteen. The coast at Allonby is about eight miles if you fancy the beach.
For planning days out, the Lake District National Park site is useful, and so is English Heritage for Hadrian's Wall, which isn't far.
