Sommersby Cottage

Sommersby Cottage is in Cockermouth. It's a three-bedroom, end-of-terrace cottage just off the main street. The location is good because you can walk into town from here.

It sleeps six, with three double rooms upstairs. There's one bathroom. It has a tall freestanding bath and a separate shower. It's a nice bathroom.

Downstairs is an open-plan kitchen and living area. There’s a wood burner, which is very good in the colder months. The kitchen has everything you need, including a dishwasher. We have a washing machine in a separate utility area.

The garden at the back is enclosed. There's a picnic bench and it catches the sun in the afternoon.

Cockermouth itself is a market town with good pubs, cafes, and shops. It's on the edge of the Lake District. You can easily get to the mountains or the coast. The Wordsworth House is a few minutes' walk away. Bassenthwaite Lake is about five miles away for walks and water sports. Keswick is about twenty minutes by car.

We accept up to two pets. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking for one car, which is useful in town.
