Kirkeway
This is Kirkeway, in Allonby. It's a terraced cottage, right in the village. The main thing is, it's 50 yards from the beach. You just go out the front door and you're there. No roads to cross.
It sleeps four, in two double bedrooms. Both look out over the street towards the estuary. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's in good order.
Allonby itself is quiet. It used to be a busy fishing and smuggling port, but now it's just a normal village. There's a couple of pubs that do food, a good cafe, and a famous ice cream shop. That's about it. The beach is sandy and long. The views across the Solway to Scotland are very good.
You're about ten miles from the edge of the Lake District National Park. So if you want proper mountains and walking, it's a short drive. Bassenthwaite Lake is 16 miles, and that's where the Lakes Distillery is.
Inside, it's got what you need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. There's a small enclosed patio out the back. Bedding and towels are included.
You can bring two dogs. There's a field for kids to play in about two hundred yards away.
