Wyndham Cottage
Wyndham Cottage is a barn conversion in Ullock. It's a detached bungalow, so everything is on one level. You get a big garden with it, which is enclosed. The garden looks south over fields towards Burnbank Fell.
It sleeps five. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which basically means it's been done to a good standard. Everything is new and clean. It's open plan inside, with a big picture window. The view from that window is the main thing. You just sit and look at the fells.
It's quiet here. You're on the western side of the Lake District, which is the quieter side. The house is right on the edge of the national park. For a shop you need to go to Cockermouth, which is about five miles. There's a pub about two miles away.
For walking, you're well placed. You can walk up Blake Fell from here. The view from the top takes in Loweswater and, on a clear day, the Solway Firth and Scotland. Cockermouth is good for cafes and shops. The coast at Allonby is about a 25 minute drive.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a TV. It's got a cot and highchair. You can bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed so they can't get out.
