This is Nokka. It's an old cottage in Rosthwaite, Borrowdale. The village is basically surrounded by fells. It feels very tucked in, which is nice.
It sleeps nine people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, but it's an old building so expect things like low beams and uneven floors. The stairs are steep.
There's a wood burning stove in the living room, and the floor in there is the original slate. The fireplace is sandstone. The house used to be an inn a long time ago. It's been drawn by Wainwright and is mentioned in some old writings, if that sort of thing interests you.
You can book it with the cottage next door if you have a bigger group.
Outside, there's a garden area and parking on site. Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
The village has a local pub. For walks, you're right in the middle of it. The Coast to Coast path goes through here. For other days out, Keswick is about a fifteen minute drive. You've got Derwentwater there, and lots of shops.
