Chapelfield Cottage
Chapelfield Cottage is in Rosthwaite, right in Borrowdale. It's a two bedroom cottage that sleeps three. It's got a cosy, traditional feel, not modern.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the fields to the fells. It's very quiet.
Inside, you've got two bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. It's got everything you'd need. A washing machine, WiFi, parking right outside. Bedding is provided. The garden is enclosed, so it's secure.
The location is what you're here for. You can walk straight from the door. There are paths along the valley floor that are easy, or you can go up. The big mountains like Scafell and Great Gable are a proper day out, but you can drive to a starting point.
The village has a small shop for basics. There are two pubs you can walk to. Both serve food.
Derwentwater is about a ten minute drive away, maybe three miles. Keswick is about seven miles. That's where you'll find the supermarkets, more places to eat, and things like the theatre by the lake.
