Chapelfield Cottage is in Rosthwaite, in Borrowdale. It's a stone cottage attached to a couple of other houses, but the bit of garden out the front is yours.
It sleeps three people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. The kitchen is small but fine for making breakfast and a packed lunch.
The best thing is the view. You look straight out over the fields to the fells. Honister Pass is right there, and you can start walking from the door. You can get to Scafell Pike or Great Gable from here if you're up for a big day. For something easier, there are plenty of low-level paths along the valley. Derwentwater is about three miles away.
There's a village shop a few minutes' walk away. It sells basics. The two pubs in Rosthwaite are also walking distance. Both do food. Keswick is about seven miles up the road if you need supermarkets, gear shops, or a cinema on a wet day.
Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a cot and highchair if you need them, and parking for one car by the house. All the bedding is included. Sorry, no pets.
