Trevene
Trevene is a detached house in Buttermere. It sleeps eight people. The property has a 4 Star rating.
The house is set back in its own garden. You get red squirrels visiting. Sometimes they come right up to the windows.
Inside, it's spacious. The kitchen is large and has an Aga. The sun room looks out onto the garden and the fells. There's a living room with a wood burner and a TV. There's also a separate study if you want a quiet spot.
There are four bedrooms upstairs: one with a kingsize bed, two double rooms, and a twin room. They all have storage and views. There's a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Downstairs, there's also a wet room, which is useful if you've been out walking in the wet.
The village has two pubs and two tea rooms, all within walking distance. Buttermere lake and Crummock Water are both close by. You can walk to them. The area is good for walking, cycling, and fishing.
Keswick is about ten miles away for bigger shops. Cockermouth is eleven miles. Whinlatter Forest is ten miles away and has walking and cycling trails. The Forestry England site has maps and information.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, and there's the ground floor wet room. No pets, sorry.
