The Carriage House

The Carriage House is in Wreay, Cumbria. It's a one bedroom place, so it's just for two people. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well looked after.

It used to be a carriage house. Now it's done up in a modern way. The main thing is the view. You get a patio that looks right out over Ullswater and the fells. It's quite something, especially in the evening. The patio has some lights for when it gets dark.

It's next to a small group of houses called Wreay Mansions. It's quiet there.

Inside, there's one bedroom and one bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a TV and WiFi. Parking is right outside.

There's a pub that does food about half a mile down the lane. Pooley Bridge is two miles away. That's where you'll find the shops and a few more places to eat.

You can walk down to the lake from here. Aira Force waterfall is a short drive away. If you want to climb Helvellyn, that's nearby too. The Ullswater steamers run from Glenridding, which isn't far.

You can drive over Kirkstone Pass to Ambleside and Windermere. That takes about half an hour and the road is very steep in parts, just so you know.

No pets, I'm afraid.
