Woodhouse Lodge
Woodhouse Lodge is on our farm near Pooley Bridge. It’s detached, which is nice. We had it fully renovated a couple of years ago so everything's fresh and works.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and each has its own bathroom, which is handy. It’s got a 4 star rating. There’s underfloor heating, and a wood burner for the evenings. The garden is enclosed, so it's fine for kids. You can park right by the door.
The lodge is on our quiet holiday park, but it's just for holiday lets, no one lives there permanently. It's very quiet. You’re about a quarter of a mile from the village. You can walk it along the river path from the property, it takes about ten minutes.
Pooley Bridge has a couple of shops, a few pubs that do food, and cafes. You can get the Ullswater steamer from there. The lake shore is about half a mile away.
You’re right on the edge of the fells. The High Street range is practically on the doorstep for walking. Helvellyn is about eight miles drive. Penrith is six miles for supermarkets and things. Keswick is about sixteen miles, maybe half an hour.
The facilities are all there: WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair. No pets, sorry.
