Garden Cottage
Garden Cottage is on a working farm just outside Pooley Bridge. It’s detached, so it's just you. The garden is enclosed. You get a view of the fells from there.
It sleeps seven in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's not huge, but it's enough space.
You're on the farm itself, so you'll see sheep. The farm borders the River Eamont. Pooley Bridge village is about a quarter of a mile walk away. There are shops, pubs, and cafes there. You can get the Ullswater steamer from the pier.
The cottage is part of a small, quiet holiday park. There's a play area and a bit of a football pitch for kids on site. It's peaceful, but you're not isolated.
For walking, you're right on the edge of everything. The High Street range is basically on your doorstep. Helvellyn is about eight miles if you want a bigger day. Penrith is six miles for supermarkets. Windermere is about thirteen.
Facilities: there's a woodburning stove, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding is included. We've got a cot and a highchair. There's bike storage and parking right outside. Sorry, no pets.
