Villa Villekulla is in Glen Dowlin, which is a bit of quiet farmland north of Ullswater. It's a detached cabin.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxury. The living area is open plan.
There's a big deck outside with seating. You get a good view from it. The whole place is part of a small development of similar lodges, so it's quiet but you're not completely isolated.
For things to do, Ullswater is about four miles south. You can get on the Ullswater Steamers there. The Rheged Centre isn't far, and Aira Force waterfall is a short drive away.
Keswick is about half an hour's drive, so you can get into the town or over to Derwentwater. Carlisle is also about half an hour the other way if you want a city day. You're well placed for the northern lakes, Hadrian's Wall, and the Eden Valley.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a woodburning stove. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
If you're planning walks or days out, the Lake District National Park site has good information, and the National Trust for the Lake District manages a lot of the local land.
