Garth Cottage

Garth Cottage is in Threlkeld. It's a semi-detached stone cottage, two storeys. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms.

It's got a 5 Star rating. It's been done up well inside. Everything's new and clean. There's a wood burning stove in the living room. A step up from the kitchen leads into there.

Out the back there's an enclosed garden. It's got a patio and a hot tub. The view from the tub is straight up Blencathra, which is the big fell behind the village.

You've got parking right outside. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and all the bedding and towels are included.

Threlkeld is quiet. There's a village pub and a good cafe. Keswick is about three miles away. You can drive it in five minutes, or you can walk. The old railway path goes all the way in, it's flat and follows the river. It takes about 45 minutes.

From Keswick you can get boats on Derwentwater. The Theatre by the Lake is there if you want a show. For walking, Blencathra is right there. You can get straight onto it from the back of the village. Whinlatter Forest is about a 15 minute drive for mountain biking or the adventure trail.

If you're here without a car, you'd be a bit stuck. A car is useful. Penrith is about a 20 minute drive east, Carlisle is about half an hour north.
