Gillhead Farm Cottage
Gillhead Farm Cottage is on our working farm in Troutbeck. It's a stone-built farmhouse, sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is clean and comfortable, not a show home. You can bring one dog.
It's on two floors. Downstairs there's a living room, a separate snug, and a dining room that opens to a patio. Both living areas have wood burners. The kitchen has what you need. Upstairs, the four bedrooms are a mix of super king, king, and twin beds. They all have their own bathrooms, which is useful with a group.
Outside, there's a garden at the front. It looks over the fields and you can hear the stream. There's parking on site.
You're in the Lake District National Park here. Blencathra is right behind you. Good walking starts from the door. Aira Force waterfall is close. Keswick is about a ten minute drive for shops and pubs. Ullswater and Derwentwater are both within fifteen minutes if you want to be on the water.
The facilities cover the basics: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's bicycle storage if you bring bikes.
