Blencathra View is a lodge for two on Beckses Caravan Park in Penruddock. It's a detached place, so no neighbours through the wall. You're right in the Lake District.
The lodge has one bedroom with a king-size bed and a shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern and open plan inside. The patio doors open onto a small patio with a couple of chairs, and the view is straight out to Blencathra. You can sit with a brew and look at it.
On site, there's parking right outside. The park itself is quiet. There's a pub in the village, about a ten minute walk. It's a proper local.
Keswick is about a fifteen minute drive. That's where you'll find the big shops, Derwentwater, and boat trips. Ullswater is a similar drive the other way. If you're walking, you're spoiled for choice. Helvellyn and Catbells are within half an hour. For a less steep day, the walk to Aira Force waterfall from the Ullswater side is good.
The facilities are what you'd expect: bed made up for you, towels, Wi-Fi, TV. There's a patio area to sit out. No pets.
