Castleriggs Cottage
Castleriggs Cottage is in Threlkeld, which is a small village at the foot of Blencathra. It's a one-bedroom place, so it sleeps two. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, but not luxurious.
The cottage is all on one floor, which is handy. The main room is open plan. You've got a kitchen area, a sofa, and a TV. It's straightforward.
There’s a communal garden area outside that you share with the other cottages on site. You can sit out there if you like. It looks directly at the fells. The view is the main thing.
If you want to walk up Blencathra, you can start from the door. The path is right there. Threlkeld has a couple of pubs you can walk to. They serve food.
Keswick is about ten minutes away by car. They've got the usual shops, supermarkets, and a few places to eat. The Castlerigg Stone Circle is a five minute drive from here. It's worth seeing.
For a bigger day out, you can be in the heart of the Lake District National Park very quickly. Ullswater is maybe fifteen minutes' drive. Windermere and Ambleside are about half an hour, depending on traffic.
Facilities wise: there's parking, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog.
