Tynedale is in Keswick, right on the edge of town. It's an end-terrace cottage, so you've only got neighbours on one side. You can easily walk into the centre, it's about half a mile. You can cut through Fitz Park or go by the River Greta. Both ways take about ten minutes.
The cottage sleeps six in three bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's a proper Lakeland cottage, so the ceilings are a bit low in places, and the stairs are fairly steep. Just something to be aware of.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing a dog. You can bring one pet, by the way. There's parking on the drive.
Inside, it's got what you need: a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and all the bedding and towels are included.
For getting about, you're in a good spot. There's a pub a few minutes' walk away. Keswick itself has all the shops, cafes, and restaurants you'd expect from a Lake District town. The market is good on a Saturday.
You're well placed for the fells. Latrigg is practically on the doorstep for a shorter walk. For something bigger, Catbells, Skiddaw, or Blencathra are all within a short drive. Derwentwater is less than two miles away for a stroll or to hire a rowing boat.
If you drive for half an hour, you can get to places like the Lakes Distillery or the Wildlife Park at Bassenthwaite. For a longer day, Helvellyn is about a 40-minute drive.
