It’s called Number 3 Ladstock Hall and it's in Thornthwaite, near Keswick. The building was a hotel once. It’s been split up into a few places now.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The place is roomy. The rating is 5 Star. It means everything is new and good quality. It’s comfortable.
You get a nice bit of garden with a terrace. The front terrace looks straight out at the Skiddaw fells. The view is excellent. There’s also a back terrace where you can step right onto a bridleway.
If you don’t want to drive, you can walk into Thornthwaite village from the back path. Braithwaite is just over a mile away. Keswick is about three miles.
The location is good for walking and cycling. The Whinlatter Forest Centre is up the hill. You can get to the Newlands Valley and Borrowdale easily. Bassenthwaite Lake is close by if you want to watch the ospreys or do something on the water.
It has a washing machine and a dishwasher. There's a secure shed for bikes. Parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included. There’s WiFi.
