It’s number 7 Ladstock Hall, in Thornthwaite. It’s an apartment, but it’s in what used to be a big country house hotel. The building is up on the hillside so the views are very good. You look straight out at Skiddaw.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s a 5 Star place, which means it’s done to a high standard. It feels spacious inside because of the high ceilings. The main living area is open plan. There are patio doors that lead out.
You’ve got a garden area that’s just for you. Parking is on site. There’s a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
There’s a pub about a mile and a half away. For a shop or a restaurant, you’d go into Braithwaite, which is just over half a mile if you take the bridleway behind the hall, or a short drive.
You’re right at the foot of Whinlatter Forest if you like mountain biking. Bassenthwaite Lake is close by for sailing. Keswick is about three miles away for more shops and things.
