The Drunken Carpenter's Cottage

The Drunken Carpenter's Cottage is in Sneaton, which is a small village near Whitby. It's just for two people, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished.

The cottage is full of handmade woodwork. The front door is famously wonky, it's a feature. Inside is open plan, with the kitchen, living and dining area all together. The kitchen is small but it's got granite worktops and a dishwasher. Glass doors open out to your own private patio. There's a hot tub out there.

Upstairs is one big room. The bed is custom made to fit under the eaves. The bathroom is part of the same room, so it's open plan. There's a big copper bath and a separate rainforest shower.

Sneaton is quiet. There's a village pub that does food. Beacon Farm has a cafe that's good for breakfast or lunch. Whitby is about ten minutes away by car. It's got the Abbey, the harbour, and the beach.

For walking, you're right on the edge of the North York Moors. The coast path is easy to get to as well. Robin Hood's Bay is a short drive along the coast.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot if needed. Two well-behaved dogs are allowed.
