Harbour Hideout

Harbour Hideout is in Whitby. It's on the east side of the harbour, up the hill a bit. You can see the harbour and the sea from the windows.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One double bedroom is on the ground floor with its own shower room. Upstairs there are two twin bedrooms under the eaves. The beams are low in places, so mind your head. The stairs are standard cottage stairs, not a spiral but they're steep.

The kitchen and living area are open plan. It's a good space for everyone to be together. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.

You get a small patio area to yourselves. Parking is on site for one car. There's bike storage too.

The town is a five minute walk downhill. It's a steep walk back up, just so you know. The closest pub is about three minutes away. The harbour and the beach are at the bottom of the hill.

Whitby Abbey is the obvious thing to see. The English Heritage site has the visitor details. The whole North York Moors coast is good for walking. The National Park website has walking routes.

Within about half an hour's drive you've got Robin Hood's Bay, which is another good coastal village. Goathland is up on the moors, about twenty minutes away. Scarborough is roughly thirty minutes south if you want a bigger seaside town.

No pets, sorry.
