This is Seafarer. It's a one-bedroom flat for two on the west side of Whitby town centre. It's in a Georgian house, so the ceilings are nice and high. Everything's on the same level once you're in, which is handy. There are a couple of stone steps to get to the front door, then a small step into the flat itself.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well looked after. There's a good shower in the ensuite off the bedroom, and a second bathroom with a toilet and basin in the hall. The living room is a decent size and the kitchen is separate, which I prefer. It has a washing machine and a dishwasher.
The main thing is the parking. You get your own off-road spot right outside the door. In Whitby, that's a big deal. You can leave the car and walk everywhere. The harbour, the abbey, the shops, it's all a few minutes' walk.
The beach is about half a mile. There's a shop 350 yards away and a restaurant about the same distance. The nearest pub is a mile, but there are plenty closer if you walk into the town.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The coastal path is right there for walks to Sandsend or Robin Hood's Bay. Staithes and Runswick Bay are a short drive north. The North York Moors Railway steam trains go from Whitby to Pickering, through the middle of the park.
Facilities are all included: WiFi, TV, bedding and towels. There's no garden, but you don't really need one here. No pets, sorry.
