Whistle Stop is in Ruswarp. It's a first-floor flat right next to the train station. You get a gated entrance and a private parking space, which includes an electric car charger.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One is an en-suite shower room off the main bedroom, the other has a bath and a shower. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well-finished and everything is new and works properly.
The living area is open plan. Kitchen, dining table, sofas. It has the usual stuff: dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi. All bedding and towels are included. We can provide a highchair if you need one.
Ruswarp has a village shop, a butcher, and a pub on the green that does food. You can hire rowing boats or kayaks on the river here. There's also a small miniature railway for kids.
Whitby is about a mile and a half away. You can walk it along the footpath by the river and the train line. Whitby has everything: the abbey, the harbour, fish and chips, plenty of shops. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside the town.
The train from the station below goes to Middlesbrough. In summer, the steam train to Pickering goes from Whitby. It's a nice trip through the valley.
For the coast, Robin Hood's Bay is about ten minutes by car. Staithes, Runswick Bay, and Scarborough are all within a 30 minute drive. The area is good for walking, either on the moors or the Cleveland Way along the cliffs.
No pets, I'm afraid.
