Abbeydale Town House

Abbeydale Town House is in Whitby, on the east side of the river. It's a Victorian terrace, three floors. You're about five minutes' walk from the harbour and the bridge over to the old town.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's the main thing about it. It's been done up, but it's still got the old fireplaces and things. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable.

The street can get busy. It's a proper town house, so you'll hear the town. The stairs are typical for the age of the place.

You're very close to everything. The harbour's there, with the fish market. The beach is sandy and big, just around the corner. The famous 199 steps up to the Abbey are a ten-minute walk away, over the bridge.

For walking, the Cleveland Way runs right through. The clifftop path towards Robin Hood's Bay is good. There's also the Cinder Path, which is flat, on the old railway line.

Robin Hood's Bay is about fifteen minutes by car. Sandsend is closer. Scarborough is maybe forty minutes. The North York Moors are on your doorstep if you want to drive inland.

Facilities: it's got a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. No pets, I'm afraid. There's a shop and a couple of pubs within a few hundred yards.
