Valentines On Love Lane
This is Valentines on Love Lane in Whitby. It's a semi-detached house on a quiet street. You get the whole place to yourselves.
It sleeps six across three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or kids. You can park three cars off the road, which is unusual for Whitby and makes life easier.
The house is about five minutes walk from the beach and the harbour. There's a shop 100 yards away, and a pub and restaurant about 200 yards. They're handy.
Whitby's a proper fishing town. You've got the abbey, the cobbled streets, the usual shops. The Cleveland Way coastal path passes close by. You can walk to Sandsend one way or towards Robin Hood's Bay the other. The beach is dog friendly all year.
Within half an hour you can drive to Robin Hood's Bay, which is all tiny streets and cafes. Staithes is similar, a bit further. The North York Moors are right there if you want proper countryside. The North York Moors National Park site has walking routes. You can catch the steam train from Whitby into the moors, which is a good day out.
Scarborough is about 40 minutes south if you want a bigger town with a theatre and sea life centre. York is about an hour's drive inland.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. We allow up to three dogs. There's a local golf course.
