The First Port of Call is a one bedroom apartment for two people in Whitby. It's on the ground floor of a Victorian terrace house. Everything is on one level inside. You share the main front door and hallway with the other flats.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well fitted. The living room has big bay windows. There's a sofa and an armchair, and a table for two by the window. The kitchen is a galley style, small but it has what you need. It has a door out to a little private patio with a couple of chairs.
The bedroom has a double bed. The shower room is compact. There's a washing machine, and the wifi is included.
You're about a ten minute walk from the beach and the town centre. It's all downhill to the harbour. Walking back is uphill, as you'd expect in Whitby.
The town has the usual things: fish and chips, boat trips, the 199 steps up to the church and abbey. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast nearby, like Ravenscar.
Robin Hood's Bay is a ten minute drive south. Staithes is about twenty minutes north. The steam train from Pickering to Grosmont is about a thirty minute drive inland.
Facilities are listed. No pets. There’s no private parking, but there is on-street parking and public car parks nearby.
