Moby Dick Cottage
This is Moby Dick Cottage in Whitby. It's a ground floor apartment for two people.
It’s got one bedroom and one bathroom with a shower. It's graded 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. You can bring one dog.
The main thing is the location. You're right on the marina, looking out over the boats. It's a two minute walk into the centre of town. There’s a pub about twenty yards from your front door for a pint. The beach and the shop are a few minutes' walk.
From here you can just wander. The old town with the abbey and the cobbled streets is up the hill. The beach is a good stretch of sand, about three miles long. For a proper walk, the Cleveland Way path starts here and runs along the cliffs.
You're on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Robin Hood's Bay is a ten minute drive along the coast. You can get a steam train from Whitby into the moors, which is a nice day out. York is about an hour away by car or train if you fancy a change.
Inside, it's all on one level. There's a TV and WiFi. The bedding and towels are included. You can store a bike. There's no garden, but you're so close to everything you probably won't miss it.
