White Rose Cottage
This is White Rose Cottage in Fylingthorpe. It's on our family's farm, so you're in the middle of fields about half a mile up our private track. The views are really good, out over the fields and you can see the sea from the garden. It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The cottage is attached to our house, but you've got your own front door and a private garden. It's south facing. We've done it up recently, so everything works.
You can walk straight from the door onto the moor. The Cleveland Way path is up there. Robin Hood's Bay is about two miles down the lane. It's a steep walk down into the village, but you can drive it in five minutes. There's a shop, cafes, and pubs down there. The beach is stony.
Whitby is six miles away. That's where you'll find the Abbey, the harbour, and more shops. The North York Moors National Park website is good for walking routes. The steam railway runs from Pickering to Grosmont, which is about twelve miles from here.
For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a bike shed if you bring them. No pets, I'm afraid.
