The Endeavour
The Endeavour is a holiday lodge on The Flask Holiday Park, up on the moors near Fylingthorpe. It's not far from Robin Hood's Bay. The location is the main thing: you're up high, so you get the sea views, but you're a drive from the beach itself.
It sleeps six, across two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living area. There's one proper shower room, and the master bedroom has a small ensuite toilet. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and modern inside. The living space is all open plan. The sofas face an electric stove and a TV.
The holiday park is quiet. There's a bar and restaurant on site, and a small shop. They have a laundrette with a few books and games you can borrow.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Walking and cycling routes start practically from the door. Robin Hood's Bay village is about five miles down the hill. Whitby is a short drive north, Scarborough to the south. Places like Staithes and Runswick Bay are within half an hour.
For a full day out, you've got Dalby Forest about 30 minutes away for cycling or the treetop walkway. Flamingo Land theme park is about a 45-minute drive.
In terms of what's there: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. The kitchen is fully equipped. Parking is right outside. It's a detached lodge, so no shared walls. Pets aren't allowed.
