Smugglers Rock House is in Ravenscar. It's on the cliffs between Scarborough and Whitby. It's a big, solid house, not a cottage. It sleeps fourteen. Seven bedrooms, all with their own shower room and TV. That's the main thing.
The driveway is gravel and can take several cars. There's a patio at the front with picnic benches. On a clear day, you can see Flamborough Head down the coast. The sunset from there is good.
Inside, it's open plan from the patio doors. A big dining table for everyone and a modern kitchen. The living room has leather sofas around a fireplace. The Wi-Fi is fast, which is useful with that many people.
Six bedrooms are on the first floor: four doubles, a single, and a family room with a double and a single. The seventh bedroom is a twin up in the eaves on the second floor. The stairs are fine.
It's a walker's spot. The Cleveland Way and the Cinder Track are right on the cliff top. Robin Hood's Bay is a walk down the hill, and you can carry on to Whitby if you're feeling fit. Whitby is about 25 minutes by car. Scarborough is about the same the other way.
Seals are on the beach below Ravenscar. You can see them from the cliff path. For birds, the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is about half an hour's drive.
Facilities: everything you'd need for a big group. Washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair, bedding and towels included. There's an electric vehicle charger on the driveway. The garden is enclosed. No pets.
